Here is a blog over my activities on the music area.:

16/8-2009.: "Moodswings" updated with fretless bass.

Just had to practice a little more on the fretless. This seemed to be the perfect tune for that.

15/8-2009.: "Tribute to Woodstock (T.L. Cover)".

In celebration of the 40 years day of Woodstock. This is one I've always wanted to play. Featuring Jacob Bank on drums and bass. For a CBC challenge.

8/8-2009.: "Lady Blue" updated with fretless bass.

Got myself a fretless, and I just had to complete the tune.

13/6-2009.: "Goodbye" - new song featuring Jeni Liptrot.

A tribute to fathers, and fathers day. Jeni wrote the lyrics and made a wonderful melody and vocal performance.

28/5-2009.: "Progressive Shopping" finished.

For a CBC progressive rock challenge. This is the man's guide to a womans happiness.

25/5-2009.: "Lady Blue" - new song in the album "Ekaterina's Letters".

Fourth song in our nearly acoustic project.

24/5-2009.: "Whit Sunday" pubblished.

Actually the last tune in the series, but... I haven't made the first tune yet.

16/5-2009.: "Ascencion" - next tune in the Circle of  Life.

The event itself is a really thin story, so i had to approach this one my own way.

13/4-2009.: "Your Lying - unplugged".

Another version of the oldie.

8/4-2009.: "Easter Morning Sun" published.

The event of easter sunday for "The Circle Of Life" project.

5/4-2009.: "I believed - unplugged".

Another stripped and unplugged tune. VERY different feel than the original.

1/4-2009.: "Palmsunday" finally published.

Took more than a year to put this together properly. A very complex tune to the Circle of Life project.

1/4-2009.: Unplugged version of "Heading for the Top" is uploaded.

Another one for the "Stripped and Unplugged album".

29/3-2009.: The album "Stripped and Unplugged" is born - first tune "Whatever I said".

Unplugged version of "Whatever I said" are recorded and uploaded. Got my acoustic guitar back from the renovation and had to try it out. Sounds good huh ??

Unplugged version of "Staying Tonight" has been uploaded.

29/3-2009.: "When I held You" - new song in the album "Ekaterina's Letters" .

Third song in our collab.

14/3-2009.: "You're Lying" - an oldie brought back to life.

This is written back in 1985 by Finn Frost and I, and here almost 25 years  later we have rerecorded it featuring Kevin Rosenberger on vocal. The beat has slightly changed into 6/8 to give it a "still got the blues" feel. I really like this version. Awsome guitarplaying by Finn. VERY nice to play together with him again.

15/2-2009.: "Family Man" finished and Funk/Fusion tune progress.

Family man (Two of a Kind) is now finished and uploaded on Ian Rowels page on soundclick. I play piano and organ on this one, Barny plays the guitars and Ian is vocalist and bassist. Very recommendable.

The work on my Funk/Fusion tune has progressed further. Still needs a lot of work, but so far it is going slowly, but steady ahead.

14/2-2009.: Recording session with Anne and Jørgen. "Rejs Dig" is finished now.

Anne and Jørgen was visiting us today. She wanted to record a cover tune for a presentation of hers. And concentration and hard work made it possible to find time to record a full vocal track and backingvocals on the covertune "Rejs Dig" We also managed to find time enough for Jørgen to play bass on a funk/fusion tune I have been working on. As if that wasn't enough... Anne also found time to make some backing vocals on Palmsunday and Eastermorning Sun. A great productive day that provided me with enough material to proceed with the work on the three other tunes once I get down to them. My list is long and has been growing fast the last couple of months, but now it finally is beginning to thrink a little. Next stop will be Finn's jazz/fusion tune.

11/2-2009.: "Two of a Kind" (Rowel).

I am working on a tune which is written and performed by Rowel and Paul Barny. I was asked if I would add some keys and mix it together. It has a GREAT vibe. I can really recommend you to listen to it once it is finished. At that time you will find it in the album "Other Collabs".

6/2-2009.: "Staying Tonight".

Finally I got a chance to make one of my old songs. "Staying Tonight is a powerballad written back in 2005. Even though I'm the only one playing, then I have chosen to add it to the album "Across Borders".

31/1-2009.: "Funk'nFusion Bossa for Carlos".

This is one of those tunes that definately belongs in the album "From my Sandbox". I wrote it 15 years ago for spanish guitar, and when I was asked to write a birthday tune for Carlos Carranza from Argentina, then I chose to make a full production of it. 9 of the friends from Soundclick is playing/singing on this tune. The newcommer is Carlo D'Ana who plays a nice pan flute.

15/1-2009.: "Falling to Pieces" (Rowel).

Rowel and Paul asked me if I would mix and master this, so I did. It's a progressive rock tune. Very nice work from Rowel here.

12.1.2009.: New project started: Funk (Lasse).

This one is subject for inputs. Everything but Drums, bass and piano is still completely open.

10/1-2009.: "Bright New Morning" (Paul Barnes).

Paul asked if I would work a little with this, so I added bass, drums and keys and mixed and mastered it.

What software / hardware should I pick for my music production ?

BASICS.

Lets start with the hardware.

Offcourse you can chose to buy a harddisk recorder. The price level right now for the cheapest 8-track recorder you can buy in Denmark for the time being is around 200 Euro. The advantage of a harddisk recorder is that it works from the minute you turn it on. You don't need a lot of other recording gear, since the newest models offers amplifier simulations,
